Google Nexus User Will get Unlimited storage for photos and videos Soon

If you're rocking a Nexus phone and a big fan of Google's photo management app then there's a treat coming your way - code in the upcoming version of the Android app suggests Nexus phone owners will be given unlimited storage for photos and videos. 
 
That's unlimited storage at full resolution, so no resizing or compression required. Anyone who uses Google Photos can already get an unlimited amount of storage, but they have to agree to their hi-res images and clips being shrunk down somewhat (to 16MP for photos and 1080p for videos).

The Nexus exclusive was spotted by Android Police but Google hasn't yet said anything officially. While 16MP/1080p may be fine for most users, it's a tempting offer for those who want their media files stored exactly as they are, with no changes.

Google has put up a blog post celebrating a whole year of Google Photos - you may remember it launched at last year's IO event. Apparently the service has 200 million active users who have uploaded 24 billion selfies in the last 12 months. 
 
Google also shares some tips and tricks for the app: keyboard shortcuts on the web, emoji search, shared albums and so on. One recently added feature lets you edit the time and date metadata associated with your pictures. 
 
Google Photos is already a fine way of keeping all your pictures and videos safely backed up and accessible from multiple devices, but no doubt Google has plenty of new features in the pipeline, whether you own a Nexus-branded device or not.</div>

Now One Plus Going To Open 6 Service Center in India

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced the setting up of its first Exclusive Service Center (ESC) in Bangalore. The Bangalore ESC is the first of six such service centers that are scheduled to be launched by the end of next month. The other cities where ESCs will be opened in the first phase of outreach includes New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. 
According to the company, these state-of-the-art ESCs endeavour to bring transparency and professionalism while resolving customer issues within a guaranteed 1-hour turnaround time'. For remote locations within these cities, customers can optionally avail the complimentary pickup-drop service already offered by OnePlus. 
 
As per OnePlus, these centers will be valued not only for their "superior utility and functionality" but also for their "entertainment quotient" to the tech and non-tech enthusiasts. The company claims that OnePlus ESCs are conceptualised to provide not just premium service experience but also extend an omni-channel shopping experience to its users wherein a user can review the complete range of OnePlus products offline before buying the products online.

Finding your lost phone just got easier — as long as it's an Android device. 
 
 
Searching Google for the words "Find my phone" will call up the Android Device Manager tool that shows where your phone is on a map. From there, you can tell the phone to ring, lock, or have it wiped completely. 
 
On Chrome, calling up the tool is as easy as speaking. Since Chrome accepts voice searches, all you need to do is say the words, "Find my phone," and the browser does the rest.

The tool works perfectly on desktop, although to call it up on mobile you'll need to download the latest version of the Google app, according to a post on Google+; however, it didn't work for us. 
 
To be clear, Android Device Manager isn't new, but the special search term is. While it's not compatible with the iPhone, users of Apple's platform can use either the Find my iPhone app or iCloud.com to search for their lost devices — just without the easy-peasy search term. But if you ask Siri, "Find My iPhone," she'll launch directly into the eponymous app.

Microsoft this week announced that it is discontinuing its Kinect for Windows v2 sensors. Instead, the company will sell developers a Kinect Adaptor for Windows — which it released in October — that will work with the Kinect available for the Xbox One console. 
 
In a blog post, Microsoft says the decision to just use one Kinect was made "in an effort to simplify and create consistency for developers."

It's a smart move. Having two separately sold devices for Kinect has never made much sense to us. After all, if Microsoft is really trying to push the "One Windows" strategy for its development, why force Windows developers to use totally different (yet still similar) hardware for Kinect for Windows experiences, as compared with the Kinect for Xbox One experience. 
 And although Microsoft hasn't said that this decision means developers will be able to build cross-platform Kinect experiences, the idea that you might be able to play Kinect-style games on the PC doesn't seem so outlandish. 
 
Remember, one of the features of Windows 10 will be the ability to stream Xbox One gaming content to a Windows 10 desktop, notebook or tablet. 
 
 
The Kinect for Xbox One is available for $149.99. The Kinect Adaptor for Windows is available for $49.99.</div>
